X1 visa
X1 visas are issued to those who apply for long-term study in China.
After entering the country with an X1 study visa, the visa is valid for 30 days, and you must apply for a residence permit at the International Student Office within 30 days after entering the country, and cannot be changed to any other type of visa. Before applying for a residence permit, students are also required to provide a health certificate issued by the Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Department.
X2 visa
X2 visas are issued to those who apply for short-term study in China.
The validity period of the X2 visa is indicated on the visa page and allows you to stay for a specified number of days from the date of entry. If you enter the country on August 25 with an X2 visa valid for 90 days, you can stay until November 23 of that year.
L visa
L visas, issued to persons entering the country; If you enter the country as a group, you can issue a group L visa.
S1 and S2 visas
S1 visas are issued to spouses, parents, children under the age of 18, parents of spouses of foreigners who are residing in China for work, study, etc. who apply for long-term family visits, as well as persons who need to reside in China due to other personal affairs;
S2 visas are issued to family members of foreigners who apply for short-term visits to relatives for work, study, etc., as well as those who need to stay in China for other personal affairs.
Z visa
Z visas are issued to those who apply to work in China.
Residence document
International students who have studied in China for more than 180 days need to apply for a residence permit (residence permit visa), the validity period is indicated on the residence permit, and students can enter and exit the country multiple times during the validity period of the residence permit.
