Beijing Wuzi University Online course selection process

Beijing Wuzi University Online course selection process

1. Course selection rounds and sequence

A. The 1st round of course selection - pre-selection (e-money course selection, and

courses can be taken or dropped)

B. The 2nd round of course selection – formal selection (courses can be taken or dropped)

C. The 3rd round of course selection - retake courses selection (courses can be taken or dropped. No restrictions on administrative classes, please choose courses carefully)

D. The 4th round of course selection - final adding stage (courses can only be taken but not dropped. No restrictions on administrative classes, please choose courses carefully)

2. Course selection method

Off-campus course selection requires a VPN. Recommended browser: Firefox or Google Chrome.

3. Course selection instructions

A. E-money is used for pre-selected courses. There is no limit on the number of students who can choose a course. All students who want to choose a course can put in any amount of e-money. Course selection is sorted according to the value of e-money students put in each course. When the capacity of the course is exceeded, students are selected based on the value of e-money students put in. In case several students put in the same value, students are selected randomly. After the pre-selection, the system will automatically filter the course selection list. The e-money will be reset before each course selection, so there is no need to leave over e-money.

B. The course selection method for formal selection is on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can choose courses whose capacity has not reached the upper limit.

C. In the retake courses selection period, students can only choose retake courses. The retake courses must be in the curriculum as stipulated in the training plan, and can be retaken regardless of former examination grades, but courses with the same name and different course number cannot be retaken.

D. In the final add/drop stage, course selection is not restricted by administrative classes. Students in the upper grades can take elective courses offered for lower grades in the training plan. However, lower grade students are not allowed to take courses designated for upper grades in advance.

E. Courses cannot be withdrawn after the 3rd round of course selection. Surplus courses must be withdrawn before this time.

4. Further tips

A. Strictly follow the requirements of the training plan and select courses according to the class schedule

Courses must be chosen according to your training plan and class schedule. If you have any questions about the training plan or the credits you have taken, please consult the dean of teaching or the teaching secretary of your School.

B. Senior students should carefully check the credits taken

Senior students who do not have enough credits can take courses designated for other grades. When remedial courses cannot be selected in the system, please submit an application for remedial courses within the first or second week of the next semester. The teacher in charge at the Academic Affairs Office will set the remedial course manually. Remedial courses require the consent of the teacher. Otherwise, no course will be set.

C. How to choose remedial courses in case student status changes and under other special circumstances

Students who have changed their school status, such as changing majors, repeating grades, resuming schooling, etc., and need to make up courses, please inquire about the opening of courses in the "Public Services" of the educational administration system, select courses that do not conflict with the courses you are taking, and fill in the corresponding application form. After approval by the relevant departments, please submit the application to the Academic Affairs Office within the first or second week of the next semester. If the remedial courses conflict with the courses you are taking, and you do not have an alternative, apply for exemption from learning but not examinations. After approval from both the course teacher and your current School, the course will be set. Otherwise, no course will be set.

D. About the preservation of class timetables

The final results of the course selection are the basis for the next semester's classes. After the course selection, students must keep their timetables until the end of all course examinations.

E. Please refer to the notice of the Academic Affairs Office for course selection in each semester

Before the start of course selection in each semester, the Academic Affairs Office will issue a notice on the homepage of the campus website. For specific course selection arrangements, requirements and professional guidance, please refer to the notice of the Academic Affairs Office each semester. The school will also provide corresponding course selection guidance.
