Regulations and formalities related to international students’ off-campus internship

 

1. Regulations on off-campus internship

A. International students off-campus internship refers to off-campus internship conducted by international students in accordance with teaching plan where no remuneration (except traffic & meal allowance) is involved. Internship shall not be carried out at two or above enterprises;

 

B. If an international student holding a study residence permit needs to do an off-campus internship, after he or she gets approval of the school authority, he or she should apply to the Exit-Entry Administration of the Public Security Bureau for annotation concerning the location and duration of the internship on the residence permit. Those who hold a study residence permit are not allowed to start off-campus internship without annotation specified previously.

C. International students who have internship needs shall apply to the Exit-Entry Administration of the Public Security Bureau for internship annotation with the relevant documents such as the off-campus internship certificate issued by the school and the trainee acceptance certificate issued by the practice unit.

D. Students without the residence permit annotation for internship will be treated as illegal and entered into the blacklist of international students of the Public Security Bureau, which will have a serious impact on their future study and work in China.

 

2. Formalities of off-campus internship

A. Submit the application form for off-campus internship of international students to the International Students Office of Beijing Wuzi University.

 

B. After the application form is reviewed and approved, the International Students Office will issue internship certificate. The student will take this internship certificate to the practice unit and obtain the trainee certificate.

 

C. The internship certificate issued by the school and the trainee certificate issued by the practice unit should be submitted to the International Students Office, and the International Students Office will send the internship confirmation information to the Exit-Entry Administration, and a copy of these certificates shall be made for backup.

 

D. The international student shall provide his or her passport, the original of the school internship certificate and the original of the practice unit trainee certificate to the front desk of the Exit-Entry Administration for internship annotation on the residence permit.

 

3. Precautions for off-campus internship

A. The internship annotation and the residence permit can be applied at the same time, with the relevant materials for residence permit submitted.

 

B. The charge for internship annotation is 400 yuan / time. If it is applied at the same time as the residence permit, it will be charged according to the residence permit standard, and the annotation is free of charge.

 

C. International students should not engage in extracurricular practice activities until they have completed the annotation and obtained the corresponding receipt.

 

D. Students during Internship can only get meal and traffic allowance. No wages or remuneration are involved.
