On the morning of September 9, Professor Wang Wenju, Secretary of the Party committee of the University, Professor Liu Jun, President of the University, Liu Shibo, director of the University Office, Professor Zhang Xufeng, Dean of the Graduate School, Professor Zhou Li, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Yu Xi, Director of the Alumni Office, and Sun Jing, Director of the Teacher Development Center, went to School of Economics for research and guidance, and all the members of the school's team attended the meeting.

Zhang Guosheng, vice dean of School of Economics, made a report on the work summary of the first half year, the work plan for the second half year and the problems that need the University's key support. In the first half of the year, School of Economics steadily promoted the party building, discipline, teaching, scientific research, postgraduate training and student work under the overall situation of fighting the epidemic situation, and achieved certain achievements in various work. In the second half of the year, School of Economics will further take effective measures to push forward the key sub-projects such as subject review, application for the rights of awarding degree, first-class specialty construction, first-class curriculum construction, the 40th Anniversary celebration, and the 14th Five-Year Plan.

President Liu Jun gave detailed guidance on six major aspects related to the development of  School of Economics. First, on the construction of teaching staff, we should pay attention to the quantity and structure, and improve the quality of teachers through "education", "Introduction" and "inviting foreign aid". Secondly, in the construction of high-level specialties, we should focus on building superior specialties, boldly innovate the training mode of talents, try to implement the training mode of "double-teacher system", improve the quality of talents and improve the level of professional construction. Thirdly, in the preparation of Futures School, we should fully investigate the existing well-known mature cases in China and learn from the experience of others. Fourthly, in the training of financial professionals, we should take the training mode of applied talents of integration of production and education as the breakthrough point of innovation. Fifthly, In the preparation of the 40th Anniversary celebration, we should continue to carry forward the spirit of "being the first and pursuing excellence", and plan a series of activities. President Liu Jun finally advised to do a good job in the 14th Five-Year Plan preliminary research work, and do a good job in the 14th Five-Year Plan in accordance with high standards.

Secretary Wang Wenju finally made a concluding statement, pointing out that School of Economics should be unrestrained, bold innovation and reform, give play to its advantages and characteristics, and make achievements as soon as possible in key work.
