On the morning of April 17, 2020, our university held a 40th anniversary mobilization meeting via video conference, deployed the university celebration work plan, announced the organization of the university celebration, clarified the work responsibilities of each group, and organized the mobilization of the university celebration. Wang Wenju, Secretary of the Party committee, Liu Jun, President, Shen Xiaojing, deputy secretary of the Party committee, and Weng Xingang, vice president, attended the meeting. All members of the school celebration organizing committee attended the meeting, which was presided over by President Liu Jun.

Vice President Weng Xingang first deployed the work plan for the 40th anniversary celebration, announced the organizational structure of the celebration, and clearly divided the responsibilities and tasks. He pointed out that the 40th anniversary celebration is the key work of our university this year. All units must coordinate closely, and do a good job in accordance with the overall deployment of the university celebration. We will focus on holding the 40th Anniversary Celebration Conference, the 40th Anniversary celebration art festival, a series of academic and cultural forums, and the 40th anniversary publicity and demonstration, online alumni celebration participation, signing of a number of educational cooperation agreements, alumni donation, etc. The 40th anniversary organization committee of the university is established, and the secretariat is responsible for daily work. There are 5 working groups under the secretariat, namely the publicity and display group, academic activity group, cultural and artistic activity group, alumni working group, and logistics service group. According to the overall arrangement, various preparatory work for the university celebration will be carried out in an orderly manner.

President Liu Jun pointed out that the 40th anniversary celebrations of this year are of great significance. So all of BWUers should pay full attention to them, manage, coordinate, and implement them effectively and efficiently. President Liu pointed out that the organization of the university celebration in 2020 is mainly reflected in three aspects. First, the 40th anniversary is a milestone in the university’s development process. This is an important moment for all people in the university to review history, narrate friendship, summarize the past, and show the future. The second is that the 40th anniversary celebration is held in the same year as the third party congress of our university. The organization of the celebration should be extended from the university to the outside of the university and from China to abroad. It is a grand gathering to gather various social resources and promote the development of the university .The third is the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in the spring of 2020. The university celebrations should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the national epidemic prevention and control command and in conjunction with the development of the epidemic. We will carry out the preparation work of "various forms, extensive participation, simple and thrifty, distinctive features, and combination of online and offline" to do a good job of dynamic adjustment and different plans to ensure the orderly and smooth development of the unibersity anniversary work.

Centering on the theme of "inheritance, cohesion and development", President Liu Jun put forward detail requirements for the university celebration work of each department.

Secretary Wang Wenju made a concluding speech. He pointed out that the 40th anniversary celebration work is the key work of our university this year, and all departments should improve their position, implement their responsibilities and promote it as a whole. Secretary Wang pointed out that the university celebration work should highlight three characteristics: The first is to inherit the spirit of the academy of things and concentrate. By reviewing the history, summarizing the characteristics, inheriting the context and keeping pace with the times, we can promote the construction of high-level application-oriented universities. The second is to show the development achievements of the university. Through the comprehensive carding and improvement of the University's celebration work, we can fully show the development achievements and outstanding contributions of our university since its 40th anniversary to all staff and students, alumni, superior authorities and social friends. Third, gather strength and seek common development. This is an important activity of the university after the third party congress. The university celebration is an important work for the university to implement the party's education policy, gather all kinds of social resources of the university and society, and jointly develop and make progress.

Finally, Secretary Wang Wenju hoped that all the people should organize staff and students, care for alumni, build a platform for university enterprise cooperation, and highlight the characteristics of the college according to the work plan for the celebration of the university. All functional departments should closely cooperate with the university celebration organizing committee to do a good job in the university celebration work.
